About Me

My name is Cierra Van Nes and I am the artist behind each of these painted cards. When I was little my mom told me; "a handmade card is so much more personal and unique than a store bought, mass produced card." She would always get my siblings and I to make cards for every occasion because she believed that these personal cards would be treasured by whoever received them. That care and love and those personalized touches are something I want to convey in each and every one of these cards.

I am a full time nursing student hoping to one day work in neonatal intensive care. I began painting again as a fun way to relax after classes, but I fell in love with making special cards for friends and family members. Each card is a unique combination of my own ideas and reference images. They come from photos I've taken or are inspired by things I saw on Pinterest. They are all put together with personal touches and colors inspired by whoever receives the card. I made them using different types of paint, paper and a whole lot of double sided tape!
